Detartrine: Abrasive paste for scalling Formula: Silica 55.00 g 35 % formaldehyde solution 0.13 g Excipient q.s.ad 100 g Properties Détartrine is presented as pink paste of very pleasant taste. Détartrine has a purely mechanical abrasive action able to perfect the scaling, after having used scalers or ultra-sounds, without eroding the dental enamel. The essential oils present in Détartrine produce a tingling fresh sensation which is greatly appreciated by the patient. Indications: Finishing of scaling Elimination of colourations due to tobacco or food Fine polishing of fillings Directions for use: Using a spatula, place a sufficient quantity of Détartrine on the circular brush, and proceed in the usual manner.
